We were sitting outside with ZIppy and he was standing facing the side yard. He was INTENTLY focused on the side yard and it was pretty cute to see him so look so intense. All of a sudden he bolted into the side yard which is a normal occurrence. He has several invisible friends who seem to appear and disappear all the time.

I ignored the outburst but Rob said that Zippy had something. We turned the corner to look at him and he had something. We walked over to investigate. When he realized we were walking towards him he picked his head up, stared at us, and we saw it. He had a baby bunny in his mouth and he was chewing on his new squeaky toy. I must admit, all the soft toys we have given him in the past were great training for when he finally got the bunny. He immediately whooshed past us, because he KNEW that this toy would be taken away from him. As he ran past us he closed his mouth on the poor little bunny and so we heard a few muffled desperate bunny squeaks as he flew past us.

Next came the game of chase me chase me. Rob and I ran all over the front yard chasing Zippy and as he ran he chewed on the bunny and it was desperately squeaking. Finally Rob caught him by the throat and Zippy immediately tried to swallow the bunny whole. At this point I actually see Zippy and sticking out of his mouth was a pair of lucky rabbit feet and a cotton tail.

Zippy was making awful hacking gagging noises as he tried to swallow the bunny while at the same time Rob is trying to pul the poor dead bunny out of Zippy's mouth by it's lucky rabbit's feet.

Now he sits and INTENTLY stares at the corner where he got the bunny every time he goes outside.

He got a bird last summer and a bunny this summer, we should change his name to "ghost face killa".

Starting to feel real

This wedding is starting to feel very close - i think I need to do my invitaitons very soon. The wedding is 4 months away (twinge of excitement and twinge of panic).
I went to visit the sample of my wedding dress and they sold it so I can't lay my eyes on my wedding dress again untill it arrives in September. I may go crazy.

White Stripes

Wow, I am totally blown away by the new White Stripes song, Doorbell. I'm going to run out at lunch and buy it. I usually buy all of my music used off the internet because I refuse to give any money to the recording industry. I feel bad for the smaller artists, they are the ones getting screwed, but NONE of my money is going into the big machine. Especially after the Metallica whine fest about how they aren't rich enough and it's all Napster's fault. Greed is such an ugly thing.

Speaking of music, I am trying to put together a play list for the DJ. I always new I had eclectic taste but so far my list is just plain silly.

Hokey Pokey or Chicken Dance but no conga line and no macarena and no electric slide
I'm gonna be(500 miles) - Proclaimers
Ob La De - Beatles
Hay Ladies - Beasties
Simmer Down - Bob Marley
"Late in the Evening" (Paul Simon)
I walk the line - Johnny Cash
Now or Never - Elvis
Big time Sensuality - Bjorg
Moby something off Play
"Please don't go" (James Brown)
Something from ABBA
Rio - Duran Duran

Originaly I walked past this dress and turned up my nose but after trying it on I realized it's perfect. It comes in the most awesome red and the duponi silk matches the wedding dress.

Wedding stuff

Oh boy, the wedding stuff is really starting to come together and I am so happy with the way things are turning out. My bridal party is so awesome, my best friend, my sister and my cousin. I am so glad to have each of them up on the alter with me on the day I get married. I wish they lived closer though, I feel a little bit alone with everybody so far away.

We started getting ourselves registered and had a horrible experience at Williams Sonoma - I think I am boycotting them. It looks like we are going to register at Crate and barrel like every other couple on the planet. I swear, they must make 80% of their earnings from registries. At least you know they are experienced at it.

We are spending a week in the Outer Banks with family so I will have a chance to spend quality time with everybody. It's great to see them at weddings, christenings etc but you never really get to spend time with family when you are together for a day or two. A week with everybody is enough time to really reconnect with everybody and find out what has been going on with them.

Before the week with the family we are doing a week with Rob's friends/co-workers. It breaks my heart to leave Zippy for 2 weeks, I feel a ton of guilt and hope that he is happy when we are gone. He will spend the first week with Mom and her new puppy. The second week they are staying at a very upscale doggie daycare facility. The place costs a fortune but I suppose that spending that money makes me feel less guilty for leaving him.
