We are heading back into construction land. The new cabinets will be here in about a month, the new appliances will be here next week and the counter tops will be here in about a month.

As of next week, we will FINALLY have a dishwasher! I can't begin to describe how much of a pain in the ass life without a dishwasher is. I don't EVER want to wash a dish by hand. I can bet that Rob feels the same way. I bet we hook up the dishwasher in the middle of the kitchen before we start the renovations. We'll definitely have the new stove hooked up before the renovations start. I can't wait for the new kitchen.

We have been reading up on additions, bump outs and dormers. Our attic is going to be huge once we get the addition done. It's so neat to have a big open floor plan and get to design where everything goes from windows and AC vents to the location of the bathtub and closet. I have a hidden agenda also... the stars to the attic are horrifying. I am secretly hoping the architect can suggest a new place for the stairs or SOMETHING to make them less treacherous. A few months ago, while discussing the addition, I told Rob I wanted lights on the steps and he said that would be too complex and really wasn't an option. Last night when I was trying to find a new place for the stairs he suggested putting lights on the current staircase. I love him.
