Damn good marketing

I want to vent about ovulation predictor kits (OPK), I hate them.

Supposedly you pee on them and it measures your luteinizing hormone (LH) which typically shows up when you ovulate, which indicates when you are fertile. I suppose I always knew there was a small window of opportunity but I never realized just how small that damn window is. It's tiny, or so these demon pee sticks have lead me to believe.

So we spent $20 on Answer OPK, I tested in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening for the week that I should be ovulating and never got a reading. G sent me her unused OPK, I tried testing early in the day, late in the day and started to think I just don't ovulate. Then, last Friday, I performed an experiment. I tested the Answer one and the one G sent me. The Answer came up negative, the others came up positive and I got excited so tested with another brand which came up negative.

I believe that OPK are stupid, over priced, useless pieces of trash that has been successfully marketed to crazed, desperate to conceive women.

I am not testing anymore, it's messing with my mind.
