I have been living at Mom's house for almost a week and it has been quite nice. We eat dinner at the table every night and talk, so far there has not been much TV which is great. Bry ... every 'morning' at noon his alarm clock rings until I BANG on his door which falls forward from it's hinges. I assume he kicked the door off it's hinges in a fit of fury and never fixed it. After he turns off the alarm clock I listen to his cell phone beep every 10 minutes until I yell at him to turn the thing off.
Then he rolls out of bed around 2:30 to start his day, which usually includes working part time and asking mom for money so he can go get a 'burger' after work.
I really want to smack him but I think it would be better if we just pressured the contractors to paint the house quickly.

The floors were sanded and finishes but the fumes are pretty bad so I have not been over there yet. Today is the day, I'm going to stick my head in the door to see my new living room and bedrooms and hopefully not collapse from the fumes.

The wierdest thing happened to Rob's car. While he was parked at work (we think) somebody tried to steal the catalytic converter on his truck! Somebody took a saw zal, crawled under the truck and cut through the piece that holds it in place and started to cut through the pipe and then stopped.

Apparently, this is common for 2 reasons. A new catalytic converter is crazy expensive and there is platum in them. Toyotas trucks and Toyota suv's get stolen a lot since they are easy to cut.

That just blows my mind.

Maybe nesting?

I'm not sure if it is considered nesting but the time has come for us to do more home renovations. We are having all the floors on the main level sanded and refinished, they are oak and have been hidden under wall to wall carpeting for 30+ years. It's going to be glorious.
We rented a pod and this weekend Rob is moving everything into it.

Since the house is going to be empty we are also going to have the interior painted at the same time so we are getting 2 pain in the ass projects out of the way at 1 time.

We're going to live at Mom's house for the next week which is great, she has plenty of space for us and Finn is there, BUT my brother is there also. Apparently he FINALLY got a job but I have yet to believe it. Quite frankly, I am totally fed up with his sulking around and his garbage attitude. He reminds me a lot of my father. We shall see if he and I can live in the same household for a week. It's the perfect mix for a bad reality tv show, My Knocked Up Sister/My Emo Baby Brother. The pregnant bitch vs the slacker over dramatic kid.
