Let me start by describing the house ....

Attic - plaster walls covered in 'pretty' flower wallpaper that was painted white. Entire attic has been sprayed with Clorox/water blend to kill any mold. Toilet in upstairs bathroom works however seat is moldy and the bowl leaks. Floor is tile that has some cracks in it but the floor is in relatively good shape. We have had 2 dehumidifyers in the attic since early May and the humidity FINALLY started to drop. The stairs leading up to the arric were covered in red carpet. I promptly tore that up however can't get the dry rotted tadding off the wood. That will be addressed another day.

Basement

Crawlspace (aka Silence of the Lambs) - Rob has spent endless nights crawling around in the dirt pulling out old rotted insulation and ductwork. After that fun job he spend even more nights spraying clorox/water mix on every inch of the subfloor, joints, walls and dirt.

Basement - We pulled out the metal shelving down there and the only thing left is the wood shelves, replacing the hot water heater, buying washer and dryer, repairing the basement door so it doesnt stick and getting the electircal system up to 100%.

Main floor

Kitchen - I have nicknamed the kitchen floor "the onion" due to it's many layers of floor. Most recent count is 6 layers. Once we pull the stove out of the kitchen, I'll be able to finish pulling up the floor and it will be ready for linoleum.
When we turned on the water we discovered a gyeser comming out of the sink faucet. Rob has new on off valves on the plumbing and looks like he is almost ready to put the neato faucet (that I picked out) in to make the kitchen sink funcitonal!!! The stove works, except for the griddle burner but I am sure he will get that up and running quickly. The only other thing to do in the kitchen is the electircal. None of the lights work.

Bedrooms - Floors are in good shape, walls are hideous color, closets are ok.

Living Room - Well, this is my area. Rob pulled up the carpet and I have been painstakingly pulling up staples, nails and that strip of wod that goes around the perimieter of the floor. The oak floors underneath are beautifull. The stain has left them a llittle orange-y however we will be sanding them down and refinishing them soon. There is a huge bump in the floor where the subfloor got damp and the floor swelled. We'll have to cut that out and replace it.

Bathroom - The bathroom looks like this - Tub, toilet in the tub, hole in the floor and 4 pipes stickign out of the wall. Floor in the proccess of being tore up, it's another onion. This bathroom leaks, there is a window IN the shower and it's teeny tiny.

There is an introduction to the house. As the days progress I want to document the repairs to the hosue becuase it has been a wild ride so far.
