Well, I took a cold shower this morning. But not from lack of trying! We were up till 1am and finally came to the conclusion that there was a leak in the factory installed seal on the top of the hot water heater. We got the whole thing hooked up, filled it with cold water, went to turn it on and nothing happened. As Rob was troubleshooting he realized water was hissing out of the top of the hot water heater. After all that work, the problem was with the manufacturer. %*#@!

Today Rob returned it to the hardware store. Now that I think about it, this is the second time we have returned something big that was damaged to that store. I think I'm going to write them a scalding e-mail. Get it .... hot water heater... scalding e-mail.
